IF a user is having trouble with the network connection failing to connect to the LAN when connected please try manually setting the Primary & Secondary DNS Server IP Addresses:


  1. Get the affected User to save all files etc
  2. If they are connected to any WiFi please disconnect them
  3. Restart the PC
  4. Log in as administrator
  5. Navigate to the Network Card settings this will vary depending on OS (WIN10 or WIN11)


WIN10


  1. Find the network/Globe icon in the bottom right of the screen
  2. Right click and select open network settings
  3. Then find Change Adaptor Settings and click
  4. Now in the opened dialog right click on the ETHERNET card icon
  5. Select Properties
  6. Then in the opened dialogue scroll down to find 
  7. Highlight it and then select the PROPERTIES Button
  8. Then in this opened Dialog box please look for DNS Server Settings and select Use the following DNS Server Settings
  9. Enter the following
    1. PRIMARY: 192.168.51.15
    2. SECONDARY: 192.168.51.16
  10. Check Validate settings on exit
  11. Click OK and restart PC
  12. Log back into PC as administrator to check the LAN is now functioning
  13. Restart and get the user to login as themselves and check that it is still functioning
  14. If it is all Done If not try WiFi as a fallback option.
