The Word Template plugin for Civica is required for specific tasks where the user needs to have pre populated Templates for specific tasks such as Development Applications, infringements notices, rates notices etc.


This needs to be added into Word as an add-in for this functionality to work correctly, this is done as follows:


  1. Open Microsoft Word on the users machine
  2. Select File, then on the LHS click on Options
  3. Click on Add-ins (2nd last in list)
  4. Check to see if the "Authnorm.dot Template add-in" is present in the 'Active Application Add-Ins' list.
  5. If not, click on the Manage Dropdown box and select Templates then click GO.
  6. In the Templates and Add-ins box, ensure the Templates TAB is active
  7. Then on the RHS Click ADD
  8. Then navigate to C:\Authority\Startup\ and select the authnorm.dot file
  9. Click OK
  10. Then Click OK once more, the add-in should now be installed
  11. Confirm this has installed properly. Close Word, reopen and select options - add-ins and check authnorm.dot is now in the active list.
