Step 1: Begin by shutting down the computer.

Step 2: The EFTPOS machine is on a dock. Please remove the EFTPOS machine from its dock like in the image below.

Step 3: Flip the dock over (The part on the left with the red cable in the above image)

Step 4: Remove the back cover using the clip.

Step 5: You should now have access to the power cable, (It has yellow tape on it), as seen in the image above.

Unplug the power cable like in the image below.

Step 6: Now turn your attention to the EFTPOS machine.

Step 7: Press the Func (Blue) and Clear (Yellow) buttons at the same time and hold them down for about 5 seconds.

The screen should display a "Shutdown in progress" message like in the image below.

Step 8: Once the EFTPOS machine is turned off (The display should now be completely black)

turn your attention back to the dock (Bottom half). Plug the power cable back in like in the image below.

Step 9: Replace the cover on the back of the dock and turn it back over to its normal position.

Step 10: Place the EFTPOS machine back onto the dock. This will cause the EFTPOS machine to reboot like in the image below.

Step 11: The EFTPOS machine will now show a number of different messages on its screen including " Registering Please Wait", and then "Logon Required".

Step 12: Once the EFTPOS machine is displaying "Logon Required" please turn the computer back on and log in as normal.

Once the computer is logged in proceed to next step.

Step 13: Look to the bottom right of the computer screen and look for the symbol circled in the image blow. 

Step 14: Wait for the yellow dot to become green like in the image below.

Step 15: double click in the symbol and a new window should open that looks like the image below.

Step 16: Now click on the "Ctrl Panel" button that is circled in red in the above image. A second window will open.

Step 17: Click on the "Logon" button shown in the image below.

Step 18: A window should open that shows "Logon Successful" like in the image below.

Press the "OK" button that is circled in the below image.

Step 19: Now click on the "Close" button shown in the image below.

Step 20: The EFTPOS machine should now display "Ready" like in the image below.

Step 21: The issue should now be resolved. If the issue continues, please contact an IT Administrator.
